Mission and Vision
The primary objective of the Department of Horticulture is to equip students with the ability to independently conduct research in the fields of fruit growing, vegetable cultivation, and viticulture, while providing them with up-to-date scientific advancements at the regional, national, and international levels. The program aims to enable students to develop solutions to problems encountered at all stages of horticultural production, to analyze scientific phenomena in detail within these domains, and to generate new syntheses based on their acquired knowledge.
By providing academic knowledge, technical skills, and research habits in the field of horticulture, the Department aims to elevate scientific studies in this area to a universal level and to contribute to the development of the country's horticultural producers. The ultimate goal is to train enlightened and principled agricultural engineers who are equipped with comprehensive engineering knowledge—from seed production to the consumption of the final products—in fruit growing, vegetable cultivation, viticulture, and plant breeding, thereby supporting the overall development of the country.
